Professional images lit with a flashlight
Can you believe all these images were shot with a flashlight? Light painting is a technique used by photographers so they can be in total control. A tripod is necessary, and shutter speed at about 15 seconds will give you enough time to paint your setup.
I had never done anything like this, and I will admit that each photo took a few tries to get the light painting down. But once I got the hang of it, I couldn’t believe it. These really looked professional, and all we used was a flashlight!
You will have to set up your camera, click the shutter, then scramble frantically to light up all the parts of the setup you want. One tip is to light things from an angle to give more texture and direction.
